What to do if your pet is lost — part 2

If your pet has not returned after 24 hours, here are the actions to take.

Expand the search perimeter

Extend the search to 2 or 3 kilometers around the home. Stressed cats can cover significant distances.

Keep a journal

Note each testimony received, each clue. This helps cross-reference information.

Reward?

A modest reward can motivate searches but also attracts scams. Be vigilant.

Don't lose hope

Pets find their home after weeks, even months. Continue to broadcast notices.
